WatchmanHarper Lee’s long-lost novel Go Set a Watchman will go on sale on July 14th. The Great Courses has a free podcast about Lee’s classic To Kill a Mockingbird and about the controversy surrounding her new novel here. Turner Classic Movies (TCM) is showing over 100 Film Noir classics over the next two months and is offering a free course on the subject (in conjunction with Ball State University) that you can enjoy even if you don’t have access to the TCM channel. Each Friday during June and July TCM will feature 24 hours of noir classics in a series called “Summer of Darkness” beginning at 6:00 a.m. EDT. Bustle has a list of 17 summer recommendations.

The Wall Street Journal suggests ten books.

USA Today has a list of 25 books that will be released this summer that may interest you.
